Scheduled induction and my Hospital bag

Turns out I'm being induced on Thursday the 12th! I have mixed emotions about it all. I'm excited, scared and kind of sad since this is my last pregnancy. I hope all goes well. My fear about being induced is that the Pitocin might not work for me or I won't make any progress in dilating and will have to get a c-section. But I'm excited that my Teddy will be here in my arms very soon!

So I've packed my hospital bag and a diaper bag. The hospital bag is the same bag I used for my first son. It's a LeSportsac large weekender bag that I got at Ross for $40. I love it because it's big and has many pockets. So here's all I packed in it for the big day:
  • my wallet with insurance and ID
  • a copy of my pregnancy info from my Dr to give to L&D
  • toiletries - hair brush, toothbrush for me and hubby, travel size toothpaste, travel size shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, bar soap, lotion, face wash, wash cloth
  • lip balm - a must have because lips get super dry during labor
  • phone + charger
  • camera + charger
  • Always Maxi Pads Overnight Pads - because the pads they give you at the hospital aren't great
  • extra underwear - granny panties all the way...most likely you'll leak, even with super maxi pads, so why ruin your nicer panties?!
  • Dermoplast spray
  • comfy socks
  • bath towel
  • lounge pants, comfy shirt and going home clothes for me
  • change of clothes for hubby
  • big bag for holding dirty clothes in
I put all my toiletries in this clear zippered bag.

I almost forgot to mention the weekender bag comes with a matching zippered bag as well, which I use to hold all my....

I am also bringing my baby's diaper bag. The only things in it are:

The hospital will provide all the baby stuff like diapers, wipes and also a shirt, hat, socks, swaddle blanket and burp cloth but I want to bring my own for going home in just in case.

All of our bags ready to go:
